Retreat to Enen Cheats, Tips Strategy

Below is a collection of hints and tips that will help you to progress in the game. These include why it is important that you constantly check your health and how you move to the next area.

Search Everywhere Thoroughly

It is crucial when you play Retreat To Enen that you explore everywhere thoroughly in order to find important items that can be easily missed without realizing it. You will find that even basic materials such as Rock, Clay, and Wood are hard to spot in a green area. Try to keep your perspective towards the ground when searching so any interactable items light up when they are in the middle of your screen. There is though a trick you can use to help identify items on the ground. Whenever the center of your screen is nearby an item on the ground a tiny white crosshair will appear on your screen, if you look in the direction it appears you will find something useful.

Remember to Turn the Campfire Off

At the start of Retreat To Eden the game will ask you to create a campfire using a few basic ingredients. You will then be able to use the campfire to cook recipes that will get rid of any negative effects you may have acquired. The campfire can also be used to increase your hunger, thirst, and health bar. Make sure that once you have finished cooking you remember to turn off the campfire because leaving it on will result in it consuming fuel that can quickly power through your Wood. The same thing applies to Furnaces and Smokes.

Be Aware of Snakes

While searching the map it is essential that you are aware that snakes lurk in the grassy areas making them difficult to spot. If you get bitten by a snake early in the game the poison effect from the bite is hard to get rid of. To do so you will need to make an Antipoison in the Cooking Pot.

Always Check your Health

Trying to stay healthy during the beginning of the game is not easy as your health will start to deplete if you are hungry or too thirsty. Be careful of the water you drink from at ponds as it can lead to you acquiring a negative effect which will slowly drain your health. The game will notify you if your health goes too low, but it is important that you check your health, food, and water bars yourself to ensure you don't get caught far away from home with no way to remedy the problem. You can regain a decent amount of health by eating Large Cooked Meat which you will be able to acquire from chickens and pigs after you kill them using a spear or a bow. Raw meat can be cooked on a furnace that you can make using the 'Crafting' menu in the 'Survival' tab.

Don't Waste Quantum Control

One of the four stats at the bottom-right of your screen is called Quantum Control, and it is important that it is used sparingly as there are certain items in the game that require you to activate Quantum Control, and they will make this bar deplete faster than normal. Quantum Control is basically an energy that can be used in everything you do. You can replenish the Quantum Control you use by finding the blue orbs that are scattered around the map. In order to regain Quantum Control all you need to do is meditate at the location you find the blue orbs. Running out of Quantum Control will result in you losing the ability to sprint and interact with things in the game.

Use your Watch

Your watch in Retreat To Enen is a very useful tool as it allows you to find all of your crafting recipes, building items, inventory, and food items. The watch can also be used to check out the current time of the day which can be useful as you need to go to sleep around 19:00 at the start of the game to avoid being too cold. Keep in mind that whenever you level up in the game you can interact with any ruins to see all the things you have unlocked.

You can't get Lost

You will not get lost in Retreat to Enen no matter how far you venture in this vast world. All you need to do to find your way back to your spawn is use the home symbol that is displayed on the screen. It therefore makes sense that you make your first base nearby to it, so you can easily find it. The two other icons on the screen are the locations that allow you to move to the next area once you have met the requirement to unlock it.

How to Move to the Next Area

To move to another area in Retreat To Enen a requirement must be met. In each of the three areas of the game there are three ruins which you must find. If you locate all three ruins in an area and go to them while it's still morning you will find the same blue areas that you use to regain Quantum Control, except they will be yellow. If you meditate by each of them for a certain amount of time you will unlock the next area. Keep repeating this procedure until you reach the final area.

How to Save

Retreat To Eden does not have an autosave, in order to save the progress of your game early on you need to head over to your basic tent and hold the 'interaction' button on your controller. When you do this you will bring up the 'Save' screen where you will be able to select a slot to save on. Once your progress has been saved you will be able to quit the game through that menu. If you quit without saving the game the next time that you play you will begin at your last save point, and you will have lost all your progress thereafter.
