You can increase your friendship level with characters in Rune Factory 5 several ways, these include talking to them, giving them gifts, greeting them with greeting spells, winning festivals, completing requests, inviting them to a party, increasing your skills, and going on a date with them.

Free Powerful Weapon from Darroch

Whenever you hand make a gift and give it to an NPC in Rune Factory 5 they will give you a gift back. What you get back in return will depend on the person you are giving the gift to. If you give a gift to Darroch he will give you a weapon in return for your kindness. Although the weapon will often be weak there will be times when it will be a very powerful weapon.

Reach Unreachable Items

There will be instances in Rune Factory 5 where you will come across loot that appears to be unreachable with no real way of getting it down. When you are faces with this problem you need to hold down the ZL button of your Nintendo Switch controller to start casting your Seal Spell.
