One of the best ways to get out out of a sticky situstion in Freedon Fighters or to get through a tight squeeze is to run through the danger area as fast as you can holding down the shoot button letting the auto-aim do its thing. Then hide in a little corner and wait for the enemy to track you down, This is good because they never patrol into a room they just waltz in giving you the opportunity to blast them.
