On the first level I can not figure out how to get through the lock door in the basement. Can you help.

When you first start the level use your binoculars and look at the far left corner of the mansion. You have to kill him, he drops the key to the basement door.

If you have some scoped weapon and take him out while he's on the ledge the key will fall off that platform he's on. If he's alerted he will take up arms in the room above the main pool entrance.

After that you can run out of there, or you can find the other Italian guy and whack him, then take his car key and leave in style :)
