At a closer look, there is not one competitive advantage when you choose to push through with micro-transactions when playing Dragalia Lost -- which is by all means good News to a majority of players. Its Gacha-based business model heavily relies on the selling the option to players to get rid of the wait times or bottlenecks while playing - specifically the energy system (stamina) in place, and getting better Characters from Summon without the need to grind for Wyrmites.

The main thing that the game sells are called Diamantium - which it sells as an alternative to the in-game premium currency Wyrmites. There is a portion called daily deals in Summon too which somewhat pitches the option as a "discounted offer" on performing a summon - where in fact it will lead you to use real money in exchange for something you can use in the game.

For a lot of players, this is a good thing because the game does not force you to buy stuff for exclusive content. For those that wants to play it the old fashion grinding way, they are free to do without spending a dime. For people that wants to get rid of the wait times and progress faster, there is also the option to purchase your free pass to grinding. Everyone wins.
