Consumes Activity Point?: YES

This activity is unlocked after completing the quest “Tea for Two”. Tea Parties are a great way to get closer to a character, while also having the chance to permanently increase Byleth’s and his/her guest’s Charisma Stat.

This activity is somewhat challenging since you’ll pretty much need to know your guest’s likes or dislikes. That way, you’ll know what topic to select and what’s the ideal tea to suit their tastes. It’s easier to see these information on your students or party members since you can simply open up their respective rosters and see their interests, likes, or dislikes on their profiles.

For other students and characters, you’ll have a brief window of reviewing their profiles at the start of the game, before you even select a House to Support. Also, you can view the profiles of Mission Assistants or students from other Houses that you temporarily asked to join your party for the month. Please refer to our guide’s dedicated section for the character profiles so you can review the likes/dislikes of characters from other Houses/factions.

To invite someone, you have to talk to him/her with at least one available Activity Point. Take note that there’s a chance for the person you invited to turn down your invitation so always save before you invite someone. You can get Tea Leaves from Gardening or purchase them directly from the Eastern or Southern Merchants.

Before starting the tea party, you’ll have to select a tea that you’ll serve. If you’re not sure what to serve, you can serve the generic tea leaves, without specific descriptions such as the Angelica Tea or Ginger Tea.

After tea is served, you’ll have three chances to select a conversation topic that might interest your guest before the timer expires. It can be challenging what to select since the options are vague phrases. However, if you see positive or encouraging phrases directed at your guest, it’s a safe option to select. Selecting an interesting topic for them will give you Support points with your guest. If you select a topic they’re not interested in, you won’t get any support point and you basically missed your chance to get a “Perfect” tea time.

If you managed to select all three correct topics for your guest, there will be an extra chance to extend your conversation. After they tell you their brief story, you have to select one of the three reactions to give your guest.

If you select the correct one, you’ll be awarded with an Extra Time. You have the option to end the session already, proceed to give Gifts to your guest, or best of all, observe your guest without any time limit.

You can move your camera on specific angles and even press the button prompts to make idle talk. You may also focus on specific features of your guest and they’ll make a comment about it.

Completing the tea party this way will increase Byleth and his/her guest’s charisma (for party members only), while also providing a lot of Support points, even to characters from other Houses. Always aim to get this result to maximize the benefits you’ll get from each tea party session.

Free Tea Parties

Once you've unlocked the option for tea parties, you'll be able to invite birthday celebrants for a Tea Party. Always consider doing this since doing a tea party this way won't use up any Activity Point, while also giving you the chance to get the same rewards if you managed to be a good host.
