In an effort to thwart Monopoly Go players trying to use Airplane Mode to try to cheat the game and gain more dice, Scopely have introduced a log in limit to try to create a more even playing field for the community.
The new log in limiter basically tracks the number of times you log into the game in a 24 hour period using Facebook, Apple, or Google. It does not track or penalize players for simply opening the game to check messages or play, so it is simply going after players that are trying to exploit the game by using the airplane mode trick to try to look at future dice rolls and decide on how they want to progress based on that.
While there is a certain amount of anger from some players about this change, it will only affect those trying to cheat to game, so for the majority of players this new login limit feature should be welcomed by the wider gaming community as it should lead to a more equal playing field especially when it comes to tournaments.
It may even lead to certain events becoming a bit more easier if game stats show less people are completing events because they can no longer accomplish the airplane mode trick, they may well bring the difficulty down or rewards up.
If you try to log in to Monopoly Go with either Facebook, Apple, or Google 5-7 times within a 24 hour period, your Monopoly Go account may become blocked and inaccessible for 24 hours. This is not including just opening the game when you are already logged in to Facebook, Apple, or Google.
While I don't condone cheating for extra dice, I have read on Reddit that people are already circumventing this log in limiter by using two devices, this is explained briefly on a thread that I have taken a screenshot of below.
