In Wuthering Waves, you can obtain extra rewards in the form of Afterglow (Aftershocked) Corals or Oscillated Corals whenever you pull characters. These special currency can be used to exchange for various rewards - including the convene tokens we discussed in our Convene (Gacha) Guide. In this article, we will list down the amount and type of corals that you can get, as well as the items you can exchange them for.

Obtaining Corals

You can obtain Corals by convening characters and weapons. How many corals and the type of corals you'll get will depend on the rarity of the character/weapon you have pulled, and the number of copies you already have, as listed below:

AC: Afterglow/ Aftershock Coral

OC: Oscillated Corals

Coral Exchange

Corals can be exchanged from the in-game shop's Item Exchange category. There are three categories in this section; the first two deals with items that can be exchanged with Afterglow Coral and Oscillator Coral respectively, while the last category allows you to exchange 160 Astrites (the premium currency) that you earn in-game or purchased using real money to get these convene tokens. However, I strongly suggest not to use any of your Astrites to exchange for Lustrous Tides (standard convene token) and instead, use the Astrites to get either Radiant Tides or Forging Tides as needed.

Aftershocked Coral

You can purchase a maximum of 2 Wavebands for 5-star characters from the in-game shop using Afterglow Corals so that means you just need to hopefully get 4 copies of that character to fully max out their Resonance chain. Wavebands of standard 5-star characters are permanently available for the shop, Wavebands of limited 5-star characters will be only available during their limited run, while two featured 4-star character wavebands will get refreshed after a while.

Oscillator Coral

The discounted amount displayed in the shop for the Radiant Tide, Forging Tide, and Lustrous Tide gets refreshed monthly and never returns to its supposed "original price". Make sure to have enough Oscillator Corals so you can avail these heavily discounted roles every month.

Additionally, for items with the "Available" limit, these numbers are also reset after the remaining days above their cards elapsed. For example, for the remaining 29 days, you can only buy a maximum of 80 Advanced Resonance Potion. Once the shop resets, that item will have its 80 pieces limit refreshed as well.
