The game has a lot of Echoes to choose from but it's quite obvious that not all of them are created equal. In this page, we will feature some of the best echoes you can give to your characters and rank them in a tier list.

Tier List Overview

Most of the echoes featured in this list are boss echoes.Thankfully, you just need to defeat them for a chance to get their echoes, without spending Waveplates to collect their rewards. Every week, you also have 15 Enhanced Drop Rates where you'll have a boosted chance of getting the echo of world bosses (Overlord-class) and certain weekly bosses (Calamity-class).

Additionally, these echoes are generally 4-cost or 3-cost, usually have powerful active abilities so it is ideal to equip them in the first slot of your character's echo set. The rarity of the echoes you'll get is also tied to your Data Bank so the higher your Data Bank level becomes, the higher the chance and better rarity of the echoes you can get, including boss echoes.

You also have to take note of certain echoes that can belong to two different Sonata groups. One example is the Bell-borne Geochelone which can have variants that belong to the Rejuvenating Glow or Moonlit Clouds.

Dreamless

The Dreamless works extremely well when you use it as Havoc-Rover's main echo. When activated the user transforms into the Dreamless and can perform up to six consecutive hits, with the final hit dealing massive damage. The echo skill also deals significant damage if used after using Havoc-Rover's Resonance Liberation. Even if you're not using Havoc-Rover, it can still deal heavy Havoc DMC with significant reach and area-of-effect, perfect for clearing large groups of enemies or effectively farm mining nodes that are close together. Unlike other bosses that are available in the open world, you need to continue through the story to unlock this boss.

Inferno Rider

When activated, you can transform into the Inferno Rider and perform three consecutive attacks. After the final hit lands, the character will gain Fusion DMG and Basic Attack DMG boosts. By long-pressing the echo button, your character can transform into the mobile version of Inferno Rider which is riding its motorcycle. This allows you to quickly travel across great distances faster. Chixia and Encore can take advantage of the DMG boosts provided by this echo.

Mech Abomination

You can summon the echo to attack enemies in front, dealing Electro damage on hit and explosion. After using this echo, the character's ATK increases the character's ATK as well. Since Mech Abomination is part of the Lingering Tunes set, equipping other echoes to activate the 2-piece or 5-piece effects will just further boost the character's ATK. The complete set of this Sonata Effect also boosts the character's Outro Skill by a whooping 60% - which includes the damage dealt by Mech Abomination whenever you summon it, as its skill attack is considered an outro skill.

Crownless

Using this skill allows you to transform into the Crownless and unleash up to four consecutive attacks that land multiple hits. After this transformation, the character gains Havoc DMG boost and Resonance Skill damage for a few seconds. So far Havoc-Rover and Danjin can take advantage of this echo's skill; however, if you have the Dreamless echo, there's really no use farming for this one unless you're planning to actively use Danjin.

Thundering Mephis

Activate this echo skill to transform the character into Thundering Mephis and perform up to six consecutive, light-fast attacks. Each strike also delivers lighting strikes, which deals bonus damage. After the final hit lands, the character's Electro DMG and Resonance Liberation DMG are boosted. Since Thundering Mephis exclusively belongs to the Void Thunder resonance, with the 2-piece and complete set boosting Electro DMG further. This echo is highly recommended for Electro DPS - which are as of this writing just Calcharo and Yinlin.

Impermanence Heron

This echo has a standard echo skill that transforms the user into the Impermanence Heron, dealing a solid amount of Havoc damage. If you press and hold the summon button, you'll be able to spit a jet of fire continuously for a few seconds which can deal a small amount of Havoc damage per hit. Your character also regains a bit of energy when this echo skill attack lands on any enemy. Furthermore, quickly switching and triggering the user's Outro skill will boost the next incoming character's attack, briefly.

This echo is great for support characters or quick-swap parties when you want to pass the ATK buff to the next character, preferably a DPS. The Impermanence Heron also belongs to the Moonlight Clouds sonata effect group. The two-piece of this set improves the energy regen rate and the 5-star just complements this echo's second skill that improves the ATK of the next resonator after using an Outro skill.

Mourning Aix

When its skill is activated, your character transforms into this boss echo and performs two consecutive attacks. After this attack, the current character gains Spectro DMG and Resonance Liberation DMG boosts for a few seconds. Mourning Aix only belongs to the Celestial Light sonata effect set which further boosts the wearer's Spectro DMG. This echo is recommended for Spectro-DPS characters like Spectro-Rover and Jinshi. If used as a placeholder, a non-Spectro wearer can still take advantage of the extra damage output and Resonance Liberation DMG boost.
