The world of Wuthering Wave is akin to a sci-fi post-apocalyptic world filled with recognizable modern equipment like terminals and computers. You might encounter terminals, doors, or container hatches of abandoned mechs strewn across the ruined landscape that might require you to perform the hacking minigame in order to open or unlock them. In this page, we will briefly explain how this minigame works so you can be hacking in no time.
Devices that can be hacked are not usually obvious until you interact with them directly. Usually, you'll find these devices inside ruined buildings, in the overworld, or military bases.
Thankfully, the hacking minigame is really straightforward once you get the hang of it. The objective is to connect the nodes of the same color without overlapping the path of the other colors. For example, kindly refer to the screenshot below.
And you can then compare the solution of the puzzle below. As you have noticed, sometimes you'll need to deliberately take the roundabout way to connect the two colors while leaving the pathway for the other colors free. You also don't need to occupy all squares on the board; as long as you successfully connect both ends of the same colors, you're good. If you made a mistake, you can conveniently reset the entire board without any repercussions.
