How to Collect Sonance Caskets and Where to Trade Them

Wuthering Waves features a large open world with lots of items and materials to collect. One of the rare items that you will come across are Sonance Caskets - similar to the Oculi of Genshin Impact. However, instead of surrendering them to a statue, you'll have to trade these yellow cubes to a relic merchant back in the city. In this page, we will discuss how to find these Sonance Caskets and how you can trade them for additional rewards.

Sonance Caskets

These glowing translucent yellow cubes are scattered around the map and you can collect them by simply "touching" them with your character. Sonance Caskets do not respawn and can only be collected once per spot. When you're near one, they'll appear as cubes in your mini-map. However, they can't be seen in the main map until you use a Casket Sonar, a tool that you can unlock after reaching Pioneer Level 3.

The Casket Sonar is a utility that will allow you to consume a Sonar Circuit to display the nearest Sonance Casket from your immediate location. The detected casket will stay visible on the map until you collect it. Remember however, that the Casket Sonar will just detect the casket; it will still be up to you to find where it is exactly. It is also possible for some caskets to be hidden behind puzzles or locked areas so solving them first will be necessary.

Relic Merchant

The relic merchant named Chenpi is located in Jinzhou. You can surrender all sonance caskets that you have collected in exchange for some valuable items, including Ascension materials for your main character (Rover). You can submit the caskets individually or just dump them all at once. There's no other use for the caskets aside from surrendering them to Chenpi so there's really no advantage in keeping them in your inventory. When you're back from long exploration sessions and have collected some caskets, don't forget to drop by Chenpi to hand them over.

Casket Delivery Rewards

As you submit caskets, your Casket Delivery Level will increase, which will allow you to collect the rewards available for the current level.
