Union Level Guide

By completing various activities, players earn EXP which will be counted towards their Union Level progression. Wuthering Waves' Union Level is similar to the Adventure Rank in Genshin Impact and HSR's Trailblaze Level which will allow players to earn permanent milestone rewards and unlock various benefits such as the ability to remove the level cap of their characters and increase their SOL3 Phase Level (world difficulty). On this page, we will discuss how to level up your Union Level and learn which activities contribute towards it.

Earning Union Level EXP

The main method of earning EXP in the game is by completing Main Quests, companion quests, and side quests as they'll award you with considerably high Union EXP. While these activities are limited, you don't have to rely on them completely. After completing Chapter 1, Act 3 of the main quest, you'll unlock the Daily Activities and Milestones.

Daily Activities and Milestones

As the name implies, Daily Activities are short and easy tasks that can be completed repeatedly. These are refreshed daily as part of the game's scheduled daily reset. Milestones are similar to achievements which you can unlock naturally as you play the game.

Exploration Quests are overworld quests that are usually long and usually broken into several objectives. Clearing these quests usually have some permanent effect on the landscape, like clearing hazards, unlocking new areas, and more. These quests award a huge amount of Union LV EXP upon completion.

Forgery Challenges

These are dungeons scattered over the map that will award players with Weapon and Skill materials upon completion. Union Level EXP is also awarded and claiming the rewards will require the use of Waveplates. You can keep track of the locations of these dungeons (even undiscovered ones) by using the Guidebook option in the main menu.

Simulation Challenges

Simulation Challenges are repeatable challenges or combat sessions that allow you to earn Resonance Potions (character EXP material), Energy Cores (Weapon EXP material), and Shell Credit (money). To collect these rewards, you have to spend Waveplates as well but they can be completed as many times as you want, as long as you have enough Waveplates. You have to talk to Yhan back in the city to access these challenges.

Tacet Fields are special areas in the game where you can manually trigger the appearance of waves of enemies with the possibility of collecting various echoes for completing them. After surviving the waves of enemies and clearing the session, you can collect your reward, which also conveniently includes Union LV exp.

Boss Challenge

Bosses in the game are some of the toughest enemies you'll find around. All of them drop specific character ascension material. The Guidebook will allow you to "detect" these bosses, even if you haven't discovered their actual location yet. On the other hand, you can challenge the weekly boss up to three times a week and receive a good amount of Union LV exp.

Tacet Field Cleanup

There are several overworld bosses scattered in the map as well that will award you with Union LV EXP after defeating them and using Waveplates (Stamina) to collect the rewards. There's also Weekly Bosses that you can challenge up to three times a week. You can track the location of these bosses from the Guidebook (open your main menu to find it)

Finally, other exploration activities that award Union LV EXP include almost any interaction you have with the environment such as opening treasure chests, solving puzzles, activating Beacons, collecting Tidal Heritage and gathering new types of resources

There could be other sources of Union EXP that we haven't mentioned here in detail but as long as you play the game regularly, you'll be able to boost your Union Level reliably and quickly.
