How to Replenish Waveplates and When to Use Them

In Wuthering Waves, Waveplates is a special consumable that is primarily used to claim rewards after defeating bosses, clearing Challenges, or surviving Tacet Fields to name a few. Waveplates replenish over time and can be restored instantly using certain means. In this page, we will discuss how to properly manage your waveplates and how to restore them.

Waveplates Recovery

1 Waveplate is replenished every 6 minutes. This translates to 10 Waveplates per hour, and up to a maximum of 240 Waveplates in 24 hours. After reaching the maximum amount, the natural replenishment will stop. However, if you have used other recovery methods (which we will cover below) to replenish your waveplates, you can exceed the maximum amount. Natural replenishment will resume only once your current waveplate amount goes below 240.

The developers have announced a "reserved waveplate system" where players can still earn Waveplates even after reaching their "soft" cap of 240 although at a longer timer. Honkai Star Rail has a similar system which allows players to continuously earn 1 Trailblaze Power (waveplate equivalent) every 18 minutes, up to a maximum of 2400 points. These can be converted to a 1:1 ratio. Once implemented, you don't have to worry that much about missing daily activities that need waveplates for a few days since you can bank them for a certain amount and use them as necessary.

Artificial Waveplate Recovery

There are two other methods of replenishing your waveplates: using Crystal Solvents or Astrites. One Crystal Solvent instantly replenishes 60 Waveplates and you can use them directly from your backpack (inventory) or by tapping the plus sign (+) right beside the waveplate counter. You can obtain these solvents from various sources like completing Pioneer Podcast (battle pass) missions, redeeming gift codes, etc.

Another alternative is using Astrites to also recharge 60 Waveplates instantly. You can do this up to six times a day though I strongly recommend not to recharge your waveplates using this method. Astrites are considered to be premium currency and you should be using them exclusively for pulling for characters or weapons in the Convene Banners.

Waveplate Usage

You can use your waveplates in the following activities:
