Weapon Tier List

Wuthering Waves features a wide variety of weapons, divided into five types that different characters can use to further bolster their combat capabilities. In this page, we will quickly list down some of the best weapons in the game in a tier list.

Weapon Tier List

In this tier list, we will only feature 4-star (purple) and 5-star (gold) weapons since their base stats and skills are significantly better than the lower-star weapons you'll start with. And between the two, 5-star weapons are almost always on the top of the tier list because they're meant to be a step more powerful than 4-star weapons. Aside from Leveling up, Weapon Tuning also has some significant performance boost as the process permanently improves the weapon's passive effects and boosts.

There are five different weapon types in the game so we will feature individual rankings per weapon type

Swords Tier List

• The Emerald of Genesis is a standard 5-star weapon with a Crit Rate substat and the passive effect that increases the user's Energy Regen. Whenever the user activates their Resonance Skill, their ATK is increased, stackable up to two times.
• Command of Conviction is a 4-star weapon with an ATK% substat with the straightforward effect of increasing the user's ATK by a significant amount when an intro skill is cast.
• Lumingloss increases the Basic Attack DMG and Heavy Attack DMG whenever a Resonance Skill is cast. (This DMG boost has no downtime) This weapon could've been an easy Rank S but since it's locked behind the paid Battle Pass, we have to lower its rank a step down.

Rectifier Tier List

• Stringmaster is a limited 5-star rectifier and Yinlin's signature weapon. Even if Yinlin is an Electro character, this weapon doesn't limit its effects to her only so other rectifier characters can still use it, like Encore who is another DPS rectifier character. Its passive skill applies a DMG Bonus by default; when dealing Resonance Skill damage, the user's ATK is further boosted, stackable up to two times. When the user is not on the field, their ATK is also increased by an additional amount.
• Cosmic Ripples is the standard 5-star rectifier that you can get from the weapon selector or through the standard convene. This weapon increases energy regen and basic attack damage (stackable) so it's not entirely combat-oriented. This is a great weapon for Verina and Baizhi but also a great stat-stick for offensive rectifier-users like Encore and Yinlin.
• Augment is a 4-star battle pass weapon that provides a straightforward ATK buff after using Resonance Liberation.
• Jinzhou Keeper is a 4-star weapon that provides an HP and ATK boost for a few seconds after using an intro skill.

Gauntlet Tier List

• Abyss Surges is a standard 5-star weapon that increases the user's Energy Regen and provides a couple more buffs with the right conditions. When hitting an enemy with a Resonance Skill, the user's Basic Attack DMG will be boosted. On the other hand, when hitting a target with Basic Attacks, the user's Resonance Skill DMG will be increased as well. Jianxin, Lingyang, and Yuanwu are ideal users of this gauntlet because they use both basic attacks and skill as part of their kit.
• Stonard is the 4-star battle pass weapon with a Crit Rate substat and a passive skill that increases the character's Resonance Liberation DMG after using a Resonance Skill.
• Marcato is a 4-star weapon that replenishes Concerto energy whenever your character uses their Resonance Skill. Concerto energy is used to trigger intro/outro skills when switching characters which is incredibly useful when chaining attacks. This weapon could've been an easy Tier S weapon; however, the cooldown for this effect is incredibly long so we just settled it in Rank A.

Broadblade Tier List

• Verdant Summit is a limited 5-star weapon that's also Jiyan's signature weapon. Its substat is Crit DMG and its passive effect increases the wearer's heavy attack every time either their Intro Skill or Resonance Liberation is activated. This bonus can be stacked up to two times, especially if you meet the conditions in quick succession (Swap to wearer to trigger intro skill, then activate resonance liberation immediately).
• Ages of Harvest is also a limited 5-star weapon that is Jinhsi's signature weapon. It has Crit Rate as its substat, with the passive effect that grants Attribute DMG bonus. This weapon also grants Resonance Skill DMG buff whenever the wearer casts their Intro Skill and/or using their Resonance skill.
• Lustrous Razor is a standard 5-star broadblade with ATK% as its substat and energy regen as its passive effect. The wearer's Resonance Liberation DMG is increased whenever they use their Resonance Sklll. This DMG boost can be stacked up to three times as well.
• Helios Cleaver is a 4-star weapon with an ATK substat that increases the user's ATK every 2 seconds (up to a maximum of 4 times or 8 seconds) after using a Resonance Skill. The only downside is that after reaching four stacks of the said ATK boost, all ATK stacks will reset within six seconds and the cycle restarts again.

Pistol Tier List

• Static Mist is a standard 5-star pistol that has Crit Rate as its substat while also passively increasing the user's energy regen. When the user activates their Outro Skill, the Resonator swapping in will get their ATK boosted as well.
• Thunderbolt is a 4-star battle pass pistol that has an ATK% substat. Hitting enemies with Basic or Heavy attacks increases their Resonance Skill DMG, stackable up to 3 times. The effect and cooldown of the effect activation is reasonably short as well.
• Undying Flame is another 4-star pistol with the ATK% substat. Its passive is quite simple; when the user activates their Intro Skill, their Resonance Skill DMG is boosted as well.
