Top 10 Series that Deserve a Sequel

3. Psychonauts

Psychonauts is a very special game. Coming straight from the (probably demented) mind of Tim Schafer, there wasn't a thing about Psychonauts that couldn't be deemed as unique. From story to art style to gameplay, this was something different, and it was something awesome.

But new IPs don't always sell too well, and Schafer and the Double Fine team wasn't widely known as a top notch developer yet. It took a good while for Psychonauts to get its due recognition, and during that time Double Fine had to struggle with the game's middling sales.

Even after Schafer and the Double Fine team earned a lot of recognition with Psychonauts, they didn't seem too keen on a sequel, instead focusing on new adventures. But now the team is able to self-publish their games, and while they are still making new IPs to please their fanbase, they are also looking to their past with the HD remaster of Grim Fandango and a sequel to the Halloween themed Costume Quest. Psychonauts actually had an ending that, while not quite a cliff-hanger, left plenty of room for a sequel to be made… and there's little doubt that the now large Double Fine fanbase would greatly enjoy another romp through the wholly outrageous world that was created years ago.
