Public Works Projects

In Animal Crossing New Leaf, there are many, many public works projects. Some are requested from special characters, some are requested from villagers. Different personality types will request different public works projects.If you want to build a public works project, you must visit Isabelle in the town hall & sit in the mayor chair. Isabelle will then ask where the public works project will go. You then take her to where you want it to be placed, & she will say whether it is a suitable spot or not. If it is suitable, construction will begin! Before the public works project is built, you need to pay off the amount needed to build it. Villagers will chip in about 200 bells a day, so you could wait until they pay it off, but it will take months.

In every town, there is a limit to how many public works projects can be built in town (things like the Cafe, Police Station or Dream Suite don't count). This limit is 30 public works projects. Different projects will need different amounts of space, & can only be built in some areas (can't be too close to the cliff, river, town plaza, train station or buildings). To be able to achieve perfect town status, you need at least 10 public works projects in your town.

Public works projects are a fantastic addition to the wonderful game of Animal Crossing New Leaf. They add colour, wonder, decoration, & beauty to your town, so be sure to talk to your villagers often so they request new project ideas!
